STEP 1 - Begin standing and step your feet one-leg distance apart. Turn your right foot out so the outer edge of your foot is parallel with the long edge of your mat and angle your back foot towards your front foot.
STEP 2 - Inhale and reach your arms up parallel to the floor. Exhale and bend your front knee 90 degrees until your right knee is over your ankle.
STEP 3 - Turn your palms up, engage the subtle strength through the reach of your arms and the active strength in your legs. Turn your head and gaze past your right middle finger. Breathe evenly through 5-8 rounds of breath.
MODIFICATION: THE WEATHERVANE
STEP 1 - Begin either sitting in a chair or standing. Engage your feet into the floor.
STEP 2 - Inhale and reach your arms up parallel to the floor. Turn your palms up.
STEP 3 - Exhale and turn your head and to neck to gaze past your right middle finger. Breath evenly through 5-8 rounds of breath.
